I’m kind of also going to be using blogmas as a way to test out possible series for the future. So, here is one possibility, “Workout Wednesday’s”.
This is only a possibility because my boyfriend and I started doing couch to 5k last week. If you follow me on Twitter, you probably already know that I am freezing my butt off doing it. I’m not a runner and never have been, but so far it hasn’t been too bad, just very very cold.
My friends think I’m crazy trying to do this in the wintertime, like I am setting myself up for failure but my boyfriend and I have each other to push each other to get out of bed and go run. It definitely helps to have someone with you, he definitely pushes me to go faster and to just do it.
For these runs, I’ve been using 2 Apps. The C25K app and the Runkeeper app. The C25K app gives my boyfriend and I prompts for when we need to start running and walking. So far we like because in the past, my boyfriend would just run for as long as he could and then stop, this actually tells us when to run and to walk and I find that so far, the workouts are doable. We use the Runkeeper app to track our progress because it tells us the distance that we have gone and how quickly we are going. It’s not a huge judge of our pace as I tend to start and end the Runkeeper the minute we step out the door and we start the C25K app when we are on the sidewalk but we still see progress in the time and distance.
