Let’s be honest, you didn’t really do anything in particular for self-care this week because you have been too excited to go on a little whistler escape with your boyfriend tomorrow.

Yup, that’s right. I’m heading to whistler tomorrow just for a night with my boyfriend. I’m so excited to just have a couple of days where we don’t have to do anything if we don’t want to. It will be nice to spend a couple of days together with no every day distractions and errands and work. It feels like I never see my boyfriend sometimes even though I live with him. So it will be amazing to have two days just to ourselves.

Can’t wait to share our local getaway adventure.

I almost forgot to write a post today. I think my self-care this week really revolves around food as I have gotten quite a few treats this week. Like ice cream cake, timbits and cupcakes.

Nothing too major happened this week in terms of myself needing self-care. I just do self-care to keep myself from burning out amongst other things.

I am deciding on whether I should share something really personal or not, which is also why I kind of forgot about today’s post.

Anyways, hope everyone is having a good week.

This week I finally dragged the boyfriend out to the mall to pick out my birthday gift. I had asked for a sports bra since we have been running. He got me a gift card to the mall, and I had a coupon for Victoria Secret that day so I was able to pick one up and still have money leftover on my gift card. šŸ™‚

Retail therapy is a type of self-care right? Lol.

I was also lucky enough to have dinner with a friend this week as well. Friends are the best when you have had a rough week.

Hope you are all taking care of yourselves!

This week’s self-care has involved eating good food and ice cream.

A couple days ago I had gone out to dinner with a friend of mine that I hadn’t seen in awhile. We ended up going to The Sandbar Restaurant for DineOut Vancouver.

Here is a pic of the amazing dishes:

Normally that would probably be enough of self-care for the week but Saturday ended up being more stressful than expected. So, I had some ice cream.

Self-care can be as simple as eating a bowl of ice cream and as amazing as having a lovely dinner with a friend and catching up with them.

Don’t forget that self-care should be done when you need it but also when you don’t. Take care of yourself, and everything else will just become easier.

What did you do for self-care this week?
